Welcome to the Delta Branch!
The Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) is a professional organization of almost 5,000 independent music teachers throughout the state of California. MTAC was incorporated in 1897 for the purpose of promoting the pursuit of excellence in the field of music education, and is among the largest and most highly respected professional music teacher associations in the nation. The exacting qualifications for membership in the association establish the MTAC member as a qualified and accredited teacher in the community.
MTAC DELTA BRANCH (chartered in 1983) is located in East Contra Costa County, near the Delta waterways of California. Our teachers offer instruction in the disciplines of piano, winds, strings, guitar, harp, and voice, and we are one of 68 Branches affiliated with the Music Teachers’ Association of California.

Events & Programs
MTAC Delta Branch offers students a variety of opportunities to perform, grow, and share their music with the community. From student recitals to special programs like the Rachel Reilly Young Artist Competition and Festival, as well as community partnerships with Barnes & Noble and Panda Express, our events help students celebrate their progress and connect through music.

Membership connects you to statewide resources, local programs, and a network of professional teachers who share a passion for excellence in music education.
